Review: Maybe you like this movie because I had expectations for this ground. Based on the progress, and, in fact, only the title, I was sure it would be stupid not funny. But I went to dinner with friends Saturday night, and Despi , and รข the dinner, to my regret, everyone had a reason to bail on the night, and I found one at 9 pm, with nothing to do, and did not want to go home. So I went to the theater to play roulette movie. Hot Tub Time Machine was playing almost immediately, and the next film after that would not be for another 45 minutes. I * almost * turned around and went home, I was so sure that this film would be stupid and not funny. But I thought, what the heck, I'm here ... Well, the movie * is * stupid. But it is fun. And what's more, we know that is stupid and has no objections to this. At no time did you ever take seriously. Now, I could have done without some of the extremely serious bits. Happily not * also * sent many of them. I'm sure I did not get all the references of the 80, though I lived through the era, largely avoiding the popular culture at the time, and still could not tell the majority in the bands or big hit songs of the time (or now the case). But I must confess that the movie made me laugh. Not all in all, but I had a series of real time, laugh out loud. And a lot of laughter and smiles. I found I really liked the characters, and finding them to be a little deeper than expected from a film called Hot Tub Time Machine. And the basic theme of the loss of surreal, free-form fun of youth, despite the formal smoothness compared to adulthood, is a theme that resonated with me.Now, lets get real. This is not Citizen Cane, dizziness, or The Godfather. Nor is it a timeless masterpiece comedy Airplane, Blazing Saddles, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Someone here shows great injustice by trying to compare it with a classic 30s comedy, but obviously this is not overnight, fierce girl, or soup of duck, and if you go to the theater expecting it, shame on you. What is a silly way, funny, nice to spend a couple of hours. Not deep, not deep, not great. It is timeless, not enduring. But not bad. And it is not as stupid as it seemed it would be. And these days, that's not so bad.
