Review: The Jungle Book is one of the most memorable films of Disney animation. Based on stories from Rudyard Kipling's Mowgli (who also wrote the famous Just So Stories). As in most Disney films, Mowgli is an orphan. Panther Bagheera to find him and he was raised by a family of wolves. That is until Shere Khan the tiger back into the woods ... One thing I love about The Jungle Book is the bad guy. In most of the Disney movies you have villains, sometimes silly and funny sidekicks being bossed around all the time. But Jungle Book offers three villains anyone who wants Mowgli everything for themselves. There are King Louie King Monkey. He kidnaps Mowgli, but do not really want to hurt him, which would make him the least evil of the three. All he wants is to be a human being, as he puts it in a beautiful song, you want to get up and dance: I Wanna Be Like You. More specifically, he wanted to know the secret of how to make fire. So theres Shere Khan, the tiger who came back to the forest and that is the reason why Bagheera and wolves (and then Baloo) wants to take her back to the man village. Shere Khan is a very quick and brutal, but also very quiet about atrocities, and not the least bit moody. But he changed his features the last screen appearance, and frankly Id be freaking out if I have a burning branch attached to my tail (heck Id freak out if I only had a tail). Shere Khan hates man and of course Mowgli, man. Last but not least (my favorite of the three) - Kaa, the snake, and a very large one I might add. View-King Louie wants to be like Mowgli, Shere Khan wants to kill Mowgli and Kaa want ... eat Mowgli. He has a very big mouth that would allow him to eat Mowgli, but it makes him bad for him to talk too much and then never got a chance to eat Mowgli. Apart from these three memorable villain theres also Mowgli, the man-cub (there was also voiced by Bruce Reitherman, son of the director of this movie and many other Disney greats: Wolfgang Reitherman). Theres an elephant, a fan (which is actually a nice and quite funny too), Baloo the bear and Bagheera the tiger. Songs include King Louie (indicated by Louie Parma) I Wanna Be Like You. Kaas Trust in me (that is not necessary ... trust Kaa). And of course Baloo The Bare Necessities.As racial overtone-thats one of the stupidest things I've heard. Jungle book can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age (... and of any race).
